PRAYER WALKING ---- A Mighty Weapon
The term “prayer walking” is new to some people. The idea of a “virtual prayer walk” is even more strange. Prayer Walking has been called “Praying On Site With Insight”. In other words, to pray at the location of concern and, as you walk, gain insight by what you see into how you need to pray.
Another definition says that, “prayer walking is simply walking and talking with God about people and things that are on His heart.”
“Virtual Prayer Walking”, then, is using the computer instead of your feet to “walk”, looking at pictures as you talk with God about people and things that are on His heart.
Prayer of any kind is a spiritual battle that requires enduring patience, tenacious boldness, confident faith, and the discipline to pray. It is the greatest weapon available for releasing the praises and promises of God and for assuring defeat against the powers of darkness.
We at PrayKIEV invite you to join us in a “Virtual Prayer Walk” for the city of Kiev. The available prayer walks are listed below. Just click on one, and pray away!
As you pray, remember that there are four major elements involved in prayer of any kind, but especially in prayer walking.
+ Praise. The Bible tells us that praise blesses God, it encourages us, it releases His presence and power, and it notifies the powers of darkness that they have been defeated. Satan hates to hear God being praised.
+ Blessing. It is important to ask God to release His blessings on a place, a people, or a condition. Speak God’s blessing on the circumstances or the conditions you see. The Bible tells us to “bless, and not curse”.
+ Warfare. As you “prayer walk”, take the authority God has given you in the Name of Jesus Christ, and stand against the powers of darkness that may be dominating or harassing that for which you are praying. Deal with strongholds, sin, curses, unforgiveness . . . any area of spiritual bondage.
+ Intercession. Now you are ready to pray for the people and circumstances. Intercession is to stand before one person in behalf of another. Stand before God in the Name of Jesus, and plead for the people, the circumstances, and the issues that the Holy Spirit brings to your mind.
